Recent Happenings

So it has been awhile... Anyway, Anton had surgery on his gall bladder last week, as in it was removed. He is busy with school and is seeing patients more than being in classes so he is enjoying that. I am doing the same old thing, trying to keep the peace with a 3 1/2 year old who is opinionated, stubborn and emotional and a 18 month old who barely says 6 words, climbs in and on everything and does not want to stay in a stroller or grocery cart. Maddy is still in ballet and LOVES it. She dances almost everywhere we go, she especially loves to dance where she can see herself. She recently has been wanting me to straighten her hair. She will sit patiently for me to do it. When it is straight she will say how her hair is "long". I try to be sure to tell her that her hair is beautiful curly and straight. The other day we were leaving the house and Maddy's hair was "long". She turns to me and says, "Mommy, I am beautiful." I said, "Yes, you are Maddy." I hope she always believes that. Sam has finally started trying to say things. He says mama, dada, knock-knock, bye-bye, ball, banana. He understands a lot, he just must not feel it necessary to communicate with words. He does a lot of pointing and grunting. He still is real cuddly. He will randomly climb up on Anton or me or just about anyone and just lay his head down and cuddle. I really try to treasure those times.  I know it won't las forever and I never got that with Maddy. Anyway, all in all life is good.
