Merry Christmas!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone. Well 2007 has been a very good year for us. We had a baby, Anton got accepted to dental school and I finally feel good about what I am doing with my life. All is well in the Conklin home. Anton and I have been up here in Portland for the past week visiting his family and this week we will be with mine. The Christmas season has got to be one of my favorite times of year. I can get caught up with all of the commercialism that comes with the season. I do very much like receiving gifts, but I really love giving them too. This year I was very good and got all of my Christmas shopping done fairly early, but it is so hard to wait until Christmas to give my gifts because I get so excited and want to give them the day I buy them. What I love even more this season is for the reason we celebrate it, the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. When I think of why he came to earth and what he did for me and everyone else I can't help but feel joy in this season. This time of year I always reflect back to past Christmases. I have composed some of my most fond memories of Christmas.

-Waking up really, really early in the morning to find the living room filled with gifts from Santa and my mom and dad.(Since I have a very large family filling the living room with gifts wasn't very hard to do.)
-Making ginger bread houses. I believe it was Keaira who would fill the inside of her house with candy so that she would have more for later.
-Lip syncing to White Christmas.(Did we ever find that Christmas tape?)
-Ms. Meanbody and the choir of misfits.
-Calling Marc and Cher and 7am telling them to hurry up and come over so that we could all open our presents.
-Sleeping in the living room on Christmas eve.
-Seeing the shadow of Santa and his reindeer go across my bedroom window. I swear it was him!
-Listening to the 98 degrees Christmas cd over and over again after school with Maggie. We wanted Nick Lachey as our gift:)
-Those kind of lame Christmas cartoons that are on t.v. every year, they may be lame but they bring back memories.
-Hanging out with family and just joking around.
-My mom reading her book, The Fourth Wiseman, before anyone could open presents.
-Being with my husband and him opening the gifts I bought him. I did really well this year, not one article of clothing!

I have had so many great Christmas memories and I know there will be so many more to come. I hope everyone has a safe and Merry Christmas!!!
